Democracy without Parties?
For Afghanistan the election year 2010 is the bloodiest year since the Taliban regime was expelled from power. In spite of the eroding security situation Afghanistan will elect a new parliament on September 18, 2010. For this reason, the Konrad- Adenauer-Stiftung and the NCPR have carried out a survey which reflects the opinion trends of the Afghan society. The first section of this report introduces the survey results. In the second section, the overall conditions are described in detail.
