As a follow-up initiative to the Federal Foreign Office funded conference "Shaping the future of Afghanistan and Pakistan" the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation's Kabul and Islamabad offices in autumn 2013 launched a comprehensive bilateral project.

The first module of the two and a half years project "Trust building through joint activities" aims at bringing together and establishing trust between Afghan and Pakistani women's organizations. For the Afghan side the women organization "Equality for Peace and Democracy (EPD)" implements the first module.

At the December 4, 2013 workshop the Afghan participants met for the first time with representatives of the Pakistani women's organization "Behbud Association of Pakistan", in order to discuss and finalize their separately developed agendas for seminaries and conferences to be held in Islamabad in 2014.

The programm of the workshop in Kabul also included a visit at "Equality for Peace and Democracy (EPD)" and the common attendance of the Afghan and Pakistani participants of a dinner reception given by the High Peace Council of Afghanistan.
