The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has officially opened its Australia office, located in the Parliamentary triangle in Canberra on 22 March 2017.
The Regional Programme Australia and Pacific has taken up its work in March. Main activities and topics will be parliamentarian and political party dialogue, foreign and security policy, economic and social policy, energy and climate policy as well as development cooperation in the South Pacific.
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is one of the political foundations of the Federal Republic of Germany. With its international activities and projects, the KAS makes a substantial contribution to international cooperation and understanding. It is named after the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer.
