Failure of good civic projects is often caused by lack of know-how in finance management. Belarus is no exception in this regard. The situation for civil society activists in the country is even more complicated, because the majority of finances come from abroad, must be requested or planned timely and long before implementation and in case of awarding and inner-country permission must be implemented within short period of time.

With its first attempt to give a training on Finances the Country Office Belarus of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung wants to make an effort in transmitting the know-how to engaged civic activists in the field of finances and finance management and in this way to strengthen the Belarusian civil society. The training will take place on August 28, from 6:00 to 09:00 p.m. in Minsk.

Trainer Dmitrij Sytsch from education center "Erudit" will provide participants with basic knowledge for reasoned and stable finance management.

Especially following topics will be discussed:

  • How to build up a well adjusted specific value system and use it?
  • How to track financial flows and if needed solve financial problems in hierarchic sequence?
  • What risks are there and how to deal with them?
  • How should financial reporting be done, so that not only fiscal authorities and donor would be satisfied, but the organization itself would have a real picture about its own financial situation?

The trainer Dmitrij Sytsch has broad experience in consulting on finance management. He dealt with risk-consulting at audit company KPMG, represented as acting Partner an Association of Accountants and Auditors in Minsk, lectured on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and finance management. He works as expert at the working group for International Accounting Standards of UNCTAD in Geneva and as Member of the Committee for Ethics of the Eurasian Association of Certified Accountants and Auditors. He shared his knowledge through more than 200 articles on Accounting and financial reporting as well as IFRS.

The Country Office Belarus cordially invites to register online for participation at the training until August 27, 2018.

The venue of the training in Minsk will be announced in addition.
