CDU/CSU Position Paper

CDU/CSU parliamentary group condemns political repressions in Belarus

January 16, 2011, the Foreign Policy Working Group of the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) group in the German Parliament adopted a position paper on Belarus. CDU/CSU urge that the Lukashenko government ends the repressions in Belarus and call on the Federal Government of Germany to take actions at national, European and international levels in order to support the Belarusian civil society and force the Belarusian authorities to respect human rights. more…

Belarusian blogs have the potential to open the society in the upcoming presidential elections in mid-December for critical discussions. A study trip for future politicians of Belarus to Germany

On June 6-11, 2010, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung runs a study trip to Germany for a group of 15 young politicians, representing the concervative segment of Belarusian democratic opposition. New publication

How the European Union works, and how journalists can work with it?

In April 2010, a new guidebook “How the European Union Works” came out of print in Belarus in two language versions: Belarusian and Russian. The guidebook was prepared by the international expert Marion Fischer to support Belarusian journalists. The brochure’s 104 pages hold concise service-oriented information on three issues: 1) the structure of the European Union; 2) how key EU institutions work; and 3) how to work with press services of EU institutions.

Training course

Video for the Web: a workshop conducted in Minsk

On April 6-10, 2010, a group of journalists from 12 Belarusian online media learned from German media trainers Guy Degen and Mathis Winkler, how to produce online video stories.
