Shift in energy and taxation policy?

European Council meeting on 22 May 2013

The agenda of the council meeting focused on energy and taxation. The discussion was useful to exchange views and to press for decisions in the energy sector and in the fight against tax evasion. The main focus of energy policy was in strenghtening economic competitiveness. Tax evasion and tax fraud are critical to governments and the public opinion in the current crisis.
