The Members of the European Parliament Dr. Langen, Balz, Hohlmeier, Dr. Hoppenstedt and Reul participated in a high level policy dialogue on global economic issues in Beijing. Representatives of the Chinese Academy of Social Science and other reputable Chinese research institutions met with members of the EU Delegation, the German Embassy and of European Corporations. Against the background of the lecturer assignment of a CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the EPP Group in the European Parliament, led by Dr. Werner Langen MEP, the KAS / Shanghai debated sustainable political decisions. Along the line of discussion about global challenges the seminar focused in cooperation with the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) on solution models in the field of economic, financial, industry and energy policy from Chinese and European perspective.
