Roderich Kiesewetter MP, Speaker of the CDU/CSU faction in the Sub Committee for Disarmament, Arms Control and Non Proliferation, speaks on a Policy Promoting Disarmament in Global Context

"Peace has become a preoccupation of the state and civil society alike", said the MP on a jointly foreign policy conference of KAS and CPIFA in Beijing. He reminded the audience of political disarmament and peace initiatives and international law contracts and evaluated their current relevance. He described specific German historical experience of peace and war as basis for the country's current policies. The speaker appreciated Chinese security policy initiatives in Asia. more…

Lecture by the German MP Andreas Gottfried Lämmel in Beijing about China's Rise and Asia's Dynamic Economy

Mr. Lämmel MP took part at the foreign policy conference jointly hosted by KAS and the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. The member of the Committee of Economy and Technology stressed the importance of the "old economy" and high-tech engineering for sustainable economic development. He spoke about fair global trade and intellectual property rights. Lämmel supports more Chinese investments to Germany.
