Funding and sustainable development of social security systems in ageing societies

The Institute for Population and Labour Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Beijing office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung jointly organised an international conference "funding and sustainable development of social security systems in ageing societies". Chinese and German experts on social policy, including Mr. Peter Weiß MP and Dr. Rolf Koschorrek MP, discussed the challenges of the reform of social insurance systems.

Reception by the Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC

A Delegation of German experts on social policy, Dr. Rolf Koschorrek MP and Peter Weiß MP, were received by Mr. Zheng Silin, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC. The former Minister of Labour and Social Security of the People's Republic of China discussed burning issues of the reform of the Chinese social security system with the German guests.

Environmetal law and European constitutional law figure prominently on his program at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing University, and the University of International Business and Economics. At the CASS Forum (Economics) 2010 Felix Ekardt will speak about climate justice from a philosophy of law perspective.
