KAS information stand
The 2012 Europe day was celebrated in Tallinn on 12 May with a colorful program. The embassies of EU member states opened their doors and were glad of people`s visit. Under the title "Active Ageing and intergenerational Solidarity" different events in Tallinn`s Old town and at Vabaduse place took place. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung contributed with an information stand at the German Embassy.

Meaning of Christian values in the era of the global Village
In the frame of „Saksa Kevad“, German Redeemer´s Community Nõmme and KAS organized the meeting with Archbishop Andres Põder and pastor Christian Meiβner, general secretary of the CDU/CSU association "Evangelical Working Group”. During the debates the importance of Christian roots in the post-communist and post-secilar world were discussed. Conclusion: a man without a compass to guide him runs into the stormy waters of the globalization era.

KAS -Discussion Forum during the "Saksa Kevad"
"We are in the middle of a digital revolution", said Dr. Peter Tauber MP. The forum enlighted the role of the EU states in the digital world in the 21st century due to the involvement in the work of Bundestag Commission “Digital Society". Taavi Kotka (Webmedia Group AS) and Ivar Tallo (eGovernance Academy) and Enn Saar (association of IT & Telecommunications) debated on the differences between the German and Estonian digital society and discussed opportunities of an EU Digital Single Market.

In addition to a meeting with the chief of the state chancellery minister Andreas Storm, there was a talk with Prime Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer and the First Parliamentary Secretary General of the CDU/CSU in the German Bundestag, Peter Altmaier.

After yesterday's ceremonial opening of the conference "Building bridges in Europe. Literature, Values and European Identity" the scientific part of the conference began today. The frame for round 100 participants built the House of Blackheads.
