Scholarship holders visit Tallinn

The Tallinn office of the foundation was visited by 14 scholarship holders from Düsseldorf on the 16th of January. “European integration – Tallinn representing Baltic innovation and European progress” was the slogan of the visit. Elisabeth Bauer, the head of the KAS office in Tallinn, gave an introduction to the political situation of Estonia. This was followed by a discussion with the politician of the Estonian IRL-party, Mat Nutt.

More than 300 guests from all over Estonia gathered on Oct 28, 2013 in the Concert Hall Estonia in Tallinn, to attend the 25th anniversary conference of the founding of the Estonian National Independence Party (ENIP). Among others, in the course of the conference, Urmas Reinsalu, Defence Minister of Estonia and Chairman of the IRL, informed himself at the info desk of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V.

Hans-Gert Pöttering was re-elected as Chairman of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation confirmed the former President of the European Parliament Dr. Hans-Gert-Pöttering (MEP) as Chairman of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation on 14th June, 2013 in Berlin. Pöttering has held his rank since 1st January 2010. “The unjustified sentence of two of our colleagues by the Egyptian court was a big shock. This will not stop the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation from promoting its partners in the building of democratic structures and the rules of law”, said Pöttering.
