The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation funds not only students living in Germany but also talented Estonian students and offers them scholarships and accompanying studyprogrammes.
The selected candidates are funded educationally aswell as financially during their study period in Germany or in another country of their choice. Through the accompanying study programme, the candidates can broaden their specific academic knowledge as well as develop the competence to take on duties in state and society. This is the reason why the selection process assesses not only academic excellence but also involvement and commitment towards political and social institutions aswell as characteristic proficiency. To date, more than 6.700 German and 1.900 foreign students have completed their studies with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation.
The Estonian office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Tallinn upholds a vivid contact to graduated scholars of the Foundation. The "Old Scholars" attend the programmes organised by the Estonian office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
