Commitment to see the bigger picture
During a short visit to Tallinn confirmed Olga Vassilenko, chairman of the NGO "Chudskoye Project" from the Hanseatic City Pskov, which emphasized for many years organized the annual "Peipsi Forum" the importance of cross-border cooperation for the further development of the EU-Russian border area. "In particular, the exchange of know-how is important so that ideas from one region to find their way. This requires the encounter."
Estonia as an important bridge between the European Union and the Russian Federation
Dr. Hanon Barabaner, Rector of the Institute of Economics and Management (ECOMEN) in Tallinn is talking firmly with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, that Estonia because of its geographical location and its historical heritage can be a bridge between the European Union and the Russian Federation. In Estonia, there are human resources that can help actively in the dialogue, not only between official agencies, but also in the relations of man to man.
