Local Governance

KAS in collaboration with GUTA organized a workshop on “Traders and Local Governance” in Tuobodom and Wenchi. The workshop was aimed at building the capacity of civil society organizations; in this case traders associations who are members of GUTA to enable them appreciate the central role they have to play in the local level governance process in order to promote and enhance quality service delivery by the various local level actors especially the District Assemblies (DAs).

Financial Literacy

PEF with the support of the KAS organized a Financial Literacy Seminar to forge interactions between the SMEs and the financial institutions so that the business people can understand their processes and procedures in accessing facilities. The seminar was organised with the aim of creating an enhanced awareness and a road map for small businesses especially the SMEs, on the various forms of financing available in Ghana and how they can structure their businesses to qualify to access them.

Among contemporary issues, Ebola emerged as a serious threat to political development in Africa. Speakers include Dr. Kofi Bonney a virologist from Nuguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research.
