NCC: NEPAD must take account of culture of the people

The Chief Director of the National Commission on Culture, Mr. Kofi Asuman, has stated that for the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) to succeed, its principles must take into account the culture and tradition of the people. He said the culture of the people brought to the fore their sense of ownership and that the beneficiary countries must ensure that the cultural values of the people became the basis for such development programmes. more…

Dpty Minister: We’ll protect the Constitution

The Deputy Minister of the Interior, Captain Nkrabea Effah-Dartey (rtd.), has warned that any individual or group, which attempts to derail the country’s democratic process, will be dealt with according to Law. Capt. Effah-Dartey was speaking at the opening of a two-day workshop on the development of early warning systems to prevent full-blown internal conflicts in Akosombo on Thursday.
