On occasion of the General Elections in India from April till May 2014, more than 800 million Indians had the chance to execute their democratic right.

The India Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung supports the bilateral political dialogue between Germany and India with its activities. Besides its areas of work like Foreign and Security Policy, constitutional dialogue and exchange on economy policy issues of bilateral interest, KAS is also offering background analysis on the elections.

Study on Indian Regional Parties

In cooperation with the Centre for Public Affairs (CPA), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung published a study on Indian Regional Parties. The publication shall give an overview on selected political parties to election observers in India and abroad as well as representatives from science, diplomacy and international NGOs.
