Also available in Deutsch

What can be funded?

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) promotes higher education of foreigners at universities in the Federal Republic of Germany. The KAS scholarship programme offers students the opportunity to obtain a German university degree (Master level) or a doctoral degree (PhD level) while deepening their special knowledge. KAS aims to make a contribution to the field of education and expects its scholarship holders to assume responsibility in their respective areas after returning to their home country.

Therefore, the KAS India office offers a variety of scholarships for Indian students and professionals who would like to continue their education in Germany in a thematically relevant field to KAS, such as International Relations, Law, Social Sciences, Media Studies and Public Administration. The applicant should either be associated with or have worked for or be recommended by one of our partner organisations. More information on KAS’ thematic priorities and activities are available on our website.

For the summer semester 2019, please send your application until 1st of October 2018. For the winter semester 2019/2020, applications will be considered until 1st of May 2019.

Applications for a field research should be received by KAS 3 months before the start of the programme.
