Taur Matan Ruak, the New President of East Timor

People in East Timor saw the election year 2012 nervously and with discomfort. They were afraid that violence will occur, if the fragile functionality of their country is tested once again. However, based on the end of the president’s election, there were no reasons to be worried. The second round of the election on April 16th went peacefully and showed a clear result.
