Round table discussion

Identity, Citiyenship and Integration: Minority Groups in Germany and Israel

KAS brought together a delegation of young Muslim leaders from Germany with young Israeli Jewish and Arab scholars for a round table discussion on concepts of identity, citizenship and integration. The participants examined the status and the role of the minority groups in Israeli and German societies, from a personal and political point of view. Comparative discussion contribute to a deeper understanding of the societies that will influence the future relations between Israel and Germany. more…

Marking September 11 KAS Israel and its Program for Jewish-Arab Cooperation at the Tel Aviv University organized a lecture event in order to analyzing the current situation in the Middle East. In his lecture, Professor Uzi Rabi, Head of the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University, drew a direct line between al-Qaida activities that led to the events of September 11 and the phenomenon of the Islamic State today. more…

Seminar for young Israeli and Palestinian leaders

Together with the Geneva Initiative, KAS Israel hosted a seminar for young Israeli and Palestinian leaders and journalists in Cadenabbia, Italy. During the seminar the participants were briefed on the core issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and discussed ways to reach a peace agreement between the two peoples.

Football, Reconciliation and Peace

KAS Israel together with Goethe Institute hosted on July 5th an event about "Football, Reconciliation and Peace - How can football contribute to bridging between peoples?". The participants were Prof. Dr. Peiffer, Prof. Moshe Zimmermann, the football player Walaa Hussein and Dvir Zivan from Peres Center for Peace. The panel was moderated by the journalist Tal Heinrich.
