"Dancing Arabs"

The Arab Predicament in Israel through the work of Sayed Kashua

The Konrad Adenauer Program for Jewish-Arab Cooperation at the Tel Aviv University organized a discussion on the identity dilemma of the Arab minority in Israel, after watching the film "Dancing Arabs" by Sayed Kashua. The students discussed the matters of individual and collective identities and the complexities reflected in the identity of the Arab citizens of Israel.

Free Markets Economy

Guy Rolnik speaks to students at a bar in Tel Aviv

As part of the final project of the course "Free Markets Economy and Social Responsibility" of the KAS and "Mitchbrim" at the Tel Aviv University, the Israeli economics journalist and founder of TheMarker, Guy Rolnik, joined the students for an evening at a bar. Rolnik spoke about the concentration in the economy and explained the connections between money, politics and Media. He urged the students to acquire knowledge in order to understand more. This is the only way to make a change.

Inter-Religious and Intercultural Study and Field Seminar

Students of the Conflict Resolution, Management and Negotiation Graduate Program from the Bar Ilan University participated in a whole day seminar in the mixed Jewish-Arab city of Acre. The students met key actors such as conflict management mediators, the city's Jewish and Arab deputy mayors and the Chief Rabbi and Chief Sheikh.

KAS is part of this important festival since its very beginning hosting panel discussions of socio-political orientation. Educators' Circle for Peace and Sustainability

On May 28th, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, in cooperation with the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS), conducted an Israeli-Palestinian Educators’ Circle. 25 Teachers from 8 schools in Israel, East Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza have taken part in the event and discussed joint methods and projects for peace and sustainability.

Germans in Tel-Aviv - Study Tour for Students

Students of the Konrad Adenauer Division for European Studies at the Ben Gurion University spent a day in Tel-Aviv where they learned about the history of Germans in Tel-Aviv Yaffo starting with a tour about the Templer settlers at the Sarona Colony, continuing with a lecture about German cuisine and finishing with a political briefing at the German Embassy.
