Germans in Tel-Aviv - Study Tour for Students

From Sarona to Salon Berlin

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with The Centre for the Study of European Politics and Society organized a Study Day in Tel-Aviv for students of the Konrad Adenauer Division for European Studies. During the day the students learned about the history of Germans in Tel-Aviv Yaffo starting with a tour about the Templer settlers at the Sarona Colony, continuing with a lecture about German cuisine and finishing with a political briefing at the German Embassy. more…

Proportionality in Asymmetrical Warfare

In cooperation with the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI), KAS Israel organized an international round table on the topic “Proportionality and Civilian Casualties in Asymmetrical Armed Conflicts: An Interdisciplinary Approach” from June 30 until June 31, 2016. Experts of different disciplines from Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Israel met in order to introduce their perspectives and knowledge in the fields of international law, social and political science as well as philosophy linked to the topic of proportionality. more…

Educators' Circle for Peace and Sustainability

On the 28th of May, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, in cooperation with the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS), has conducted an Israeli-Palestinian Educators’ Circle. 25 teachers from eight schools in Israel, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza have participated in the Israeli-Palestinian roundtable in Hakfar Hayarok (Israel) and discussed joint methods and projects to cooperate continuously for peace and sustainability. more…
