With the Syrian conflict and the Coup D’Etat in Egypt the situation in the Middle East is currently facing new challenges. These factors have a significant impact on the situation of minorities and on intercultural relations in the Arab World. In this context, KAS Jordan, European Abrahamic Forum (EAF) and the Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies (RIIFS) organized a workshop on 30th March 2014 in Amman, on the current intercultural and interreligious relations in the region. more…

“The Role of Municipal Councils in Local Development in Jordan”

Municipal councils in Jordan play only a marginal role in the development of communities which is mainly the result of a missing basis of communication between the councils and the communities. The participation of the communities has to be strengthened in order to achieve development and sustainability.
