Survey Report on Waste Management Practices at Municipality/District Level

The Royal Government of Cambodia committed to transferring waste management functions to the Municipal/District level in the Kingdom by issuing the Sub-Decree No. 113 on Solid Waste Management in Urban Areas in August 2015. To assess and better understand the process of implementing the Sub-Decree, the National League of Commune/Sangkats, with technical support from KAS Cambodia, has gathered experiences and lessons learnt for documenting the current practices and challenges related to waste management at M/D level in Cambodia. This new Information Manual, prepared by the Secretariat of the National Assembly in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung, provides information on the legal foundations and procedures for MPs. It also offers practical information for MPs, the media and the public on key services the National Assembly Administration provides to its members and the interested public. KAS Media Study launched
