Seminar: “Political systems of Germany and Kazakhstan”

On October 21st-23rd Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in Kazakhstan held a seminar on “Political systems of Germany and Kazakhstan” for Sur-Place fellows.

Thomas Helm, Resident Representative of KAS to Kazakhstan, and Aygul Soloviyova, Deputy of the fifth convocation of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened the seminar in the framework of welcome dinner.

During the seminar various reports were presented with a quintessence of political systems of Germany and Kazakhstan. Aliya Mussina, Research Associate of KAS to Kazakhstan, made an introductory presentation on the political foundations of Germany, including Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The Director of KAS in Kazakhstan, Thomas Helm, held a presentation on the parliamentary system in Germany. Vyacheslav Abramov, Chief Editor of the popular publishing house “Vlast”, attended to the seminar as well and gave a presentation on parlamentarism in Kazakhstan. The Head of the Scientific Service of the German Bundestag Guido Heinen thoroughly shared about the functioning and structure of the Administration of Bundestag.

All the lectures were actively discussed.
