Budget planning and financial control of municipalities

From 2018 the administrative units of Kazakhstan with more than 2000 people will get an own budget.

This is a very significant step forward in the field of local government. In the period of 13-17th of November the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kazakhstan organized seminars to the important questions of budget planning and leading and to the tasks of community councils (in Kazakhstan: maslikhats), as well as on the topic of municipalities control. The seminars were held in Astana, Almaty, Otegen Batyr and Pavlodar. As a German expert Jochen-Konrad-Fromme, who was for a long time deputy of the Federal parliament and politician in the field of budget, brought his knowledge for the third time to Kazakhstan.
