Korean Reconciliation and Reunification
Second Korean-German Forum for Peace in Berlin
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, in cooperation with the National Advisory Council for Democratic Peaceful Unification of the Republic of Korea, hosted the Second Korean-German Forum for Peace at the KAS Academy on 30 January 2012 in order to discuss options for a peaceful rapprochement on the Korean peninsula (in German).

International Party Cooperation
International Young Democrat Union Study Program in Korea
A group of leading representatives of the board of the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU) headed by then Chairman Daniel Walther visited South Korea in mid-October 2011. The group was joined by representatives of political partners of KAS from South and Southeast Asia. The visitors met numerous high-ranking Korean politicians and discussed current domestic politics as well as the establishment of transnational party contacts (in German).
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Chairman Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering MEP to visit Korea
From October 13th to 18th, Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering MEP, Chairman of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will visit Korea. During his stay in Seoul he will, inter alia, deliver three keynote speeches and hold talks with representatives of the National Assembly and GNP leaders. He will meet with the Minister of Reunification and the President of the Constitutional Court as well. On 15 October Dr. Pöttering will receive a honorary doctorate degree from the Korea University.
Book examines China-East Asia Relations
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, along with the East Asian Institute, based in Singapore have published a book titled "East Asia's Relations with a Rising China", edited by Lam Peng Er, Narayanan Ganesan and Colin Dürkop.
South Korea and the G 20
As Host of the G 20 Summit in November 2010, South Korea will be the center of the world's attention.
