Baltic Development Forum Summit 2010

Two Summits - One City

Under the motto "Two Summits - One City" two high level summits of BDF and CBSS will take place on 1./2. June in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. The two events shall give new impulses for anti-crisis plan and strenghthen the Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. EDUCATIO, KAS and Young Christian Democrats of Lithuania are calling for applications for their annual international summer academy. The topic of this year summer academy is "Implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region: Theory and Practice". Lithuania mourns together

Lithuania mourns together with the Polish citizens President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria as well as the delegates, who died in a plane crash while approachig the Smolensk airport in Russia. Lithuanian State President Dalia Grybauskaitė expressed her condolences to the families of air crash victims as well as to the whole Polish society and added, that Poland has lost a great statesman, while Lithuania has lost a close friend. A three day mourning is announced in Lithuania.
