Parliamentary Election 2008

Homeland Union/Lithuanian Christian Democrats became the strongest parliamentary group

Homeland Union/Christian Democrats gained 27 seats in the second round of the Parliamentary Election held on the 26th of October and became a winner of this round too. In general they have won 45 seats in the Parliament and became the strongest parliamentary group. The Social Democrats have only gained 25 seats and lost their leader-position. read more... more…

The Homeland Union/Lithuanian Christian Democrats won the Elections

Lithuania elected the new Parliament on the 12th of October. Temporary dates from the 1929(from 2034)polling-stations showed that the EPP member party Homeland Union/Lithuanian Christian Democrats gained the majority of the votes (19.27%). Read more... more…
