Promoting inter-religious dialogue in Macedonia through capacity building for media and religious representatives

The KKonrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy are continuing with the realization of the second phase of the project “Tolerance, dialogue, cooperation! Promoting inter-religious dialogue in Macedonia through capacity building for media and religious representatives”. In the period from April till May 2011, KAS and IDSCS are going to organize 8 trainings on national and local level for representatives of the five religious communities in Macedonia. more…

TRAINING SEMINARS FOR POLITICAL PARTIES IN MACEDONIA

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Eduardo Frei Foundation are jointly working on the progress for strengthening the capacities of the conservative political parties in Republic of Macedonia. This year, from 15th till 18th of April as a part of this joint cooperation we organize trainings for young leaders of the political party VMRO-DPMNE in four districts in the country: Strumica, Ohrid, Skopje and Kumanovo. more…

KAS and EBA Business and Finance conference

As a follow-up to our event from April 2010, KAS together with the European Business Association are organizing an international conference "Financing companies in a difficult world: How to secure financing and liquidity" which will take place on 22.09.at 10:30 at Aleksandar Palace. The aim of this conference is to once again bring political and economic decision-makers together to discuss the crucial elements on the path to recovery for the Macedonian economy after the global economic crisis.

School for young leaders

Today the first "School for young leaders" has begun in Ohrid. An initiative by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, KAS is pleased to support his idea to create a new regional institution that teaches to promising young decision-makers best practices of leadership from around the world. The leadership school will run for two weeks and includes lectures by KAS-invited expert Michael Schley on what attributes and values are important for responsible leaders.

On 27 May 2010 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung together with the political magazine Forum are organizing a round-table discussion on "lustration and dealing with the past".
