The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with "Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies" for a third year in a row organized the Regional Summer School 2018 on the topic “Society and Religion: Ethnic groups, Identity and Nationalism”

35 participants from 9 Balkan countries and participated in a diverse program of lectures, workshops and on-site visits in the picturesque city of Ohrid from 06-10 of July.

A wide range of subjects and topics were raised: The role of religion in the society, reconciliation, nationalism, civic activism, diversity, EU perspectives, multiculturalism, role of the media, that enabled the participants to gain insights- through discussions, learn from practical-case studies presentations and interact through workshops.

The goal of the Summer School was to shift the status quo concerning the civic perception of religious, national and cultural differences among the academic youth from the region.
