African Media Initiative (AMI)
The African Media Initiative (AMI) is a pan African media development organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. AMI aims to strengthen the media sector, from an owner and operator perspective, so that it can play its full role in promoting social development, economic growth and empowering citizens to hold governments and other institutions to account. It does so by acting as a catalyst for transformational change within the industry through a set of strategic activities aimed at transforming the sector to become more professional, financially sustainable, technologically adaptable and socially responsible. AMI is a strategic partner of KAS Media Africa. Together they are hosting an annual media conference, the African Media Leaders Forum (AMLF). It is the largest gathering of media owners and operators from around the African continent.

Wits Journalism
Wits Journalism is a programme for aspirant as well as working journalists. Located in the media metropolis Johannesburg it is well placed to work closely with the industry and working professionals to ensure a centre of teaching, training, research and public engagement. The department is steeped in a tradition of independent, critical and quality journalism. Courses are taught by journalists with many years of experience and seniority in the profession.

frayintermedia is a social entrepreneurship media and journalism training consultancy. Founded in 2005 it operates across the African continent with a strong focus mainstream as well as community media, gender equality development, ethical and accountable journalism and global leading-edge journalistic best practice. It is the organiser and facilitator of several major journalism training initiatives and have trained more than 2,000 journalists from across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Highway Africa
Highway Africa is a partnership involving Rhodes University's School of Journalism and Media Studies, South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the South African Department of Communications, with the support of Corporate South Africa, development agencies and media associations. For fifteen years the Highway Africa Conference has been at the centre of Africa’s debate on journalism, media and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The conference has over the years become the largest annual gathering of African journalists in the world. In the last years Highway Africa has evolved into a multi-pronged programme with the following components: Research, Education and Training, Reporting Development and Conference.

FAIR
The Forum for African Investigative Reporters (FAIR) is an association of investigative journalists in Africa. The Forum was established in 2003 by 15 journalists from six African countries. FAIR provides networks and contacts for journalists, supports cross-border partnerships in research and facilitates investigations through the exchange of information.
