The visit from the 22nd to the 28th September, 2009 in Berlin is organized for 10 journalists from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Each of them has finished a journalistic education at the Konrad Adenauer Asian Centre for Journalism (ACfJ) and is now active as a political reporter for press and broadcast.
With the visit a detailed insight into the German media system is offered to the participants. In addition, the guests from Asia experience the final stage of the election campaign of the Bundestag (Lower House of German Parliament) and the election day itself. The focus is on handling the vote by the German media, planning the editorial work and reporting about the major political event.
This journey is a follow-up to 5 previous visits of Asian journalists in the years 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
