KAS presents new handbook "Entrepreneurial Journalism"

The KAS Media Program South East Europe introduced a new "Entrepreneurial Journalism Handbook" on September 10th in Belgrade.

KAS already offers seminars on this topic for freelance journalists and online entrepreneurs from the Balkans. Trainers and also authors of the 50-page handbook are Marko Nedeljković, Milos Petrović and Veroljub Zmijanac from Belgrade.

The new compendium is written for journalists who want to become self-employed and develop their own business model on the Internet. With many practical examples, the basics of online journalism, production of websites, as well as ethical aspects of journalism on the web are being explained. Besides that, the handbook gives tips for strategic market analysis and the development of online platforms.

"Freelancer in the Internet make an important contribution to media diversity in South East Europe. Not only is the quality of texts and videos of importance, but also the right business model. The 'Entrepreneurial Journalism Handbook' is a helpful tool for all media representatives who want to be successful on the web," explains Christian Spahr, head of the KAS Media Program South East Europe.

The handbook is available in English and Serbian language. It was developed in cooperation with the KAS Office in Belgrade.
