On 27 January 2015, in the Context of the European Union for Development, the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue, in cooperation with Hans-Seidel-Stiftung and the European Network of Political Foundations, hosted a roundtable discussion on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Prospects and Challenges for EU-Relations with Tanzania

On 3-5 December 2014 the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized a dialogue programme for the leaders of CHADEMA, the largest opposition party in Tanzania. The group met with high-level representatives of the European Institutions in Brussels and later on travelled to Cologne, where it had the chance to attend the CDU Annual Convention and to meet Angela Merkel, President of the Christian Democratic Union and German Chancellor.

SECURING ENERGY SUPPLIES THROUGH DIVERSIFICATION AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES

On 1-3 December 2014 the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized a dialogue programme for a delegation of representatives of the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The group participated in high-level meetings in Brussels with experts in energy security and climate change. The focus of the talks were the role and importance of international climate targets, the increase in the use of renewable energies and the reduction of energy dependence. more…

Renewable Energies and Sustainable Solutions for Latin American Municipalities

On 1-6 December 2014 the Multinational Development Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized a dialogue programme for a delegation of local politicians and decision-makers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Guatemala. The group attended high-level meetings and visited innovative projects in Austria, Germany and Spain. The dialogue programme focused on the areas of waste management, water treatment and renewable energies.

Securing Energy Supplies in the Middle East

On 5 November 2014 the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, in cooperation with the country offices in Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Territories, organized the conference "Securing Energy Supplies in the Middle East". The event discussed the possibilities of regional cooperation on energy with special attention to the role of renewables. Mrs. Teresa Ribeiro, Deputy Secretary General for Energy of the Union for the Mediterranean, gave the keynote speech. more…

On 14-15 October 2014 Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of KAS organize in Brussels, in cooperation with PolAk, the expert conference "The New Deal and Fragile States. Challenges to Peace, Stability and Development". The event gathered high ranking representatives of the International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding, EU representatives and experts from the think-tank community. On 22-24 June 2014 the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized the expert roundtable ‘What After Cotonou? Cooperation between the EU and the ACP countries beyond 2020’. The event took place in Cadenabbia and was attended by stakeholders from the EU and the ACP group, as well as experts from think-tanks and KAS partner organizations. Climate Change Adaptation: Improving the Local Resilience Strategies of Cambodian Provinces and Local Communities

On 29 May 2014 a delegation of political decision-makers from Cambodia chaired by H.E. Leng Vy, Under Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, was received by the Governor of Lower Silesia, H.E. Tomasz Smolarz, at his office in Wroclaw. The delegation and the Governor had the chance to exchange ideas on adaptation strategies to climate change.
