On 22-24 June 2014 the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized the expert roundtable ‘What After Cotonou? Cooperation between the EU and the ACP countries beyond 2020’. The event took place in Cadenabbia and was attended by stakeholders from the EU and the ACP group, as well as experts from think-tanks and KAS partner organizations. Climate Change Adaptation: Improving the Local Resilience Strategies of Cambodian Provinces and Local Communities

On 29 May 2014 a delegation of political decision-makers from Cambodia chaired by H.E. Leng Vy, Under Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, was received by the Governor of Lower Silesia, H.E. Tomasz Smolarz, at his office in Wroclaw. The delegation and the Governor had the chance to exchange ideas on adaptation strategies to climate change.

On 26-28 January a Delegation of the Defence Committee of Pakistan's Senate visited Brussels in the context of the dialogue programme 'Prospects and Challenges for Pakistan's Regional Security'. The delegation chaired by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed attended a series of meetings with interlocutors from the European Institutions and NATO, e.g. NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow.

Adapting to Climate Change and Improving Local Resilience Strategies

From 1 December to 7 December 2013 a delegation of mayors and local politicians from Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Guatemala and Peru participated in a dialogue programme in Europe to exchange views on measures to improve local resilience strategies to climate change. The group met political intelocutors and visited climate change adaptation projects in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
