Interactive Workshop on Mitigating Violence

This 2-day workshop was held in partnership with COMMUNITY POLICING PARTNERS FOR JUSTICE, SECURITY AND DEMOCRATIC REFORMS (COMPPART) at Entry Point Hotel and Suites, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from March 10 - 11, 2014. It was a security and conflict prevention workshop for the Zone 6 police zonal command, which comprises of Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers and Ebonyi States. The region is known to have serious security issues especially land disputes, youth violence, gang or cult wars, which have hampered development and trust among the different ethnic groups in the region. more…
