38 young professionals from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Germany met in Islamabad to attend a Trilateral Summer School organized by the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Symposium on Pak-German relations 2011
On the evening of January 12th, 2011 the German Parliamentarians as well as the Pakistani Parliamentarian Friendship Group were invited to a Welcome Reception by the German Ambassador, Dr Michael Koch. Throughout the evening political the parliamentarians of both countries exchanged their views on topics such as the Kashmir conflict and Pakistan’s bilateral relation to her neighbours India and Afghanistan. more…
Pak-Afghan Universities agree on extensive collaboration
A 13-members delegation of Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors and Deans from Kabul University, Nangarhar University (Jalalabad), Shaikh Zayed University (Khost) and Herat University visited the Higher Education Commission and eight leading universities in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. The purpose of the visit was to develop academic collaboration between universities, so vital for cementing friendly relations across the border. The ten days visit (January 17 to 27, 2011) was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, a German foundation. more…
