Job description

  • Contributing to the analysis of current political, economic and legal developments in Palestine including the publication of articles, factsheets and reports for a mainly German target audience
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating projects for the KAS Palestine office as well as developing and monitoring projects of our partners
  • Organizing and taking part in official events and conferences of KAS Palestine and its partners
  • Organizing and implementing study and information programs for visiting delegations
  • Drafting project proposals for third-party funds
  • Communication with KAS headquarters in Berlin

We expect

  • University degree (preferable M.A. level) in the broader field of social sciences
  • Relevant work experience in the field of international cooperation and project management
  • Experience with handling delegations and groups of visitors
  • Ability to produce political analysis for different kinds of publication formats (journalistic/academic)
  • Strong social media competencies (experience in content production is an advantage)
  • Arabic at native-speaker level and fluency in English (knowledge of German is a strong advantage)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural setting (includes willingness and experience in speaking publicly in front of groups)
  • Deep understanding of Palestinian politics and society
  • Being flexible regarding working hours, including working on weekends and occasional travel within the West Bank and region
