Joint Israeli Palestinian Poll, December 2011

Israelis’ and Palestinians’ willingness to compromise has increased amidst a climate of feud and mistrust - this is a noticeable result of the most recent poll conducted jointly by the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Ramallah and Jerusalem and the Ford Foundation Cairo office. 2011 – An eventful year for the Palestinian Territories

For the Palestinian Territories the year 2011 was first and foremost marked by the events of the so-called “Arab Spring”. Although there has been no overthrow of the political regime or even mass demonstrations in either the West Bank or the Gaza Strip for that matter, the “Arab Spring” had a significant impact. Launch and Discussion of “Ra’yon Akhar”

On December 8th, 2011 the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MITFTAH) presented the Media Monitoring Unit project’s first issue of the newspaper “Ra’yon Akhar” (Different Viewpoint) at the MIFTAH offices in Ramallah.
