Deutschland in Vietnam Jahr 2010 Chúc Mừng Năm Mới 2010 2010 wird ein ereignisreiches Jahr für Vietnam und Deutschland. Vietnam hat den Vorsitz der ASEAN inne, Hanoi wird 1000jähriges Bestehen feiern. Ferner wird aus Anlass des 35jährigen Jubiläums der Aufnahme diplomatischer Beziehungen zwischen unseren Ländern ein Veranstaltungsjahr „Deutschland in Vietnam“ mit vielfältigem Veranstaltungsangebot stattfinden. Konferenz|Workshop|Dinner Reception ASEAN Vorsitz in 2010 Vietnam wird 2010 den ASEAN-Gipfel Vorsitz von Thailand übernehmen. Die KAS Vietnam hat zur Vorbereitung der Präsidentschaft in der 48. Kalenderwoche zwei Veranstaltungen zum Thema regionale Integration in ASEAN durchgeführt: In Ho Chi Minh City eine hochrangig besuchte Konferenz zum Thema „ASEAN – ECONOMIC REGIONAL INTEGRATION“ und in Hanoi einen Workshop und eine Dinner Reception mit Vertretern der ASEAN Mitgliedsstaaten zum Thema „ASEAN PRESIDENCY 2010“. EU Project- Training of Trainer Courses Trainings on Urban Governance and Participation The EU-Project of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Association of Vietnamese Cities (ACVN) will implement 06 Training of Trainer Courses in urban governance and participation in November and December. The main objective of these courses is to train 24 trainers and prepare them for the final trainings of 300 civil servants and city officials next summer. (Nov. 9, 2009)

Assessment Study Results People's Participation and Local Governance - Challenges and Opportunities for Municipalities The Assessment report presents the results of a series of interviews conducted by an expert team of one international expert and two National experts with city/ward officials and civil servants in Nam Dinh, Hue, Tau Dau Mot and Lang Son. The assessment focused on the same urban/governance issues as the opinion polls and can be seen as a corrective to the citizens opinions. The report also includes a Training Needs Assessment which will feed in the formulation of the Training Courses. (Oct. 19, 2009) »

Publication Results of the EU Project Survey on People's Participation and local governance in 4 Vietnamese Cities The study was undertaken within the scope of activities of the EU -funded Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung's/ACVN project and is based on a survey among 3000 citizens in four participating pilot municipalities (Nam Dinh, Hue, Tau Dau Mot and Lang Son) carried out in July 2009. Workshop Promoting People's Particpation and Governance in Vietnamese Cities In the framework of the EU-cofunded Project of KAS and ACVN, a two day workshop will present the results (two reports) of the first project assessment activities on the 22nd/23rd of September in Hanoi. In June and July, two seperate expert teams conducted a citizens survey with 3000 people in four pilot cities (Lang Son, Thu Dau Mot, Hue and Nam Dinh) and interviews with the city leaders and city management on the quality of local governance and people's invovement in local decision making.
