Third training session of the Leaders for Justice 2018 programme

The third training session of the Leaders for Justice 9th generation took place in Brasov between March 8-11 and focused on change management, decision-making, real leadership or the exercise of power with trainers Mihai Dragoi and Marian Stas. Also, the planning for change module with Codru Vrabie gave them the opportunity to start working on their common initiatives. How does Romania take back its stolen assets from corrupt convicts?

The Center for Investigative Media launched a policy paper focused on monitoring real examples of how the state actually fails or manages to confiscate assets from corrupt convicted Romanian politicians and businessmen. At the event, the Dutch Ambassador, two members of the Romanian parliament, and experts from DNA, DIICOT, General Prosecutors Office, ANABI, ANAF and Romanian courts spoke. Training for judges in Albania

Justice must be seen to be done

KAS RLPSEE and The European Centre in Albania organized a training for judges on "Independence and impartiality of the Judiciary", which took place on the 20th of October in Tirana. Mr. Idlir Peci, human rights expert, and Prof. Vincent Coussirat-Coustère from France, delivered presentations on ECtHR standards, assisting the judges acquire a better understanding and knowledge of the European standards related to Article 6 of the ECHR. more…

The former MEP and expert on South East Europe, Doris Pack, held a lecture at this year's International Summer School Sarajevo on the topic of “The role of EU conditionality in transformation processes". During the subsequent discussion, which was moderated by Thorsten Geissler, director of the RLP SEE, the former European politician, who has a long-standing expertise about the region, answered numerous questions of the participants of the ISSS 2017.
