Opening of the International Summer School Sarajevo 2015

The opening ceremony of the International Summer School Sarajevo 2014 " Transforming legal systems of South-east European countries to respond to human rights challenges " took place on July 16 under the auspices of the representative of the BiH Presidency, Mr. Željko Komšić. Until July 24, the 25 graduates in law or related fields will enlarge their knowledge through lectures, workshops and visits at relevant institutions and sites in Sarajevo and BiH. more…

Between the 9th and the 12th of July took place in Cadenabbia the 6th and last training session of the Leaders for Justice 2015 program. In a open discussion, Professor Valeriu Stoica, former Ministry of Justice and Thorsten Geissler, director of the KAS RLPSEE, tackled issues such as integrity, transparency and the role of the young generation in shaping a lasting change for the Romanian society. more…

Migration of Roma - effects and possible solutions

Between 6-8 of July took place in Cadenabbia (Italy) a workshop focusing on the ”Migration of Roma – effects and possible solutions””. The event was attended by representatives of state institutions and NGO’s from Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Germany. The main topic of the workshop was the identification of causes and solutions with regard to the migration of Roma from south-east Europe to which the participants presented models of best practices and public policy. more…

On Monday 29th of June the alumni and participants of our Leaders for Justice program met with H.E. Matthijs van Bonzel, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Romania. The lively discussion focused on the role of the young generation in shaping a better future for the country in the context of the fight against corruption and the European integration.

Values-Based Rule of Law in High School Curriculum

Closing conference "Inclusion of Principles of Rule of Law in the High School Curricula"

The Sf. Sava National College in Bucharest hosted on June 17 the closing conference of the project entitled “Value-based Rule of Law for High School Curriculum”. The discussion focused on the importance of Rule of Law, as well as fundamental values in the Romanian educations system. The project consisted out of 7 workshops attended by 400 students from elite high schools in 5 cities across Romania.

Regional Seminar on Anticorruption for Judges and State Attorneys

On May 20 and 21, a Regional Seminar on Anticorruption for judges and state attorneys took place in Cavtat. The participants came from Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia. The event organized together with the Judicial Academy in Croatia was attended by representatives of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) and of the Office for the Prevention of Corruption and Organised Crime in Croatia (USKOK). more…
