Afganistan in SAARC: Towards Deeper Engagement
On 14 and 15 May 2013 fourteen distinguished experts from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan met in Kathmandu to discuss a proactive role of the SAARC countries for the peaceful and democratic development of Afghanistan within South Asia after the withdrawal of the ISAF in 2014

On 18 April 2013 the Regional Programme SAARC together with the Centre for South Asian Studies launched the second edition for the seminar series "Nepal's National Interests". After Foreign Policy, Internal Security, Federalism and Energy the second book now adresses Secularism, Free Media and Employment.
