Baseline Study
Capacity building as a tool for more effective poverty alleviation of marginalized rural women in Zimbabwe
Also available in Deutsch
The first provision in the EU-project "Capacity Building as a tool for more effective poverty alleviation" is the carrying out of a baseline survey on human rights, gender and democracy among savings club members in the Midlands and Matabeleland Provinces of Zimbabwe. The findings of the baseline study will be used as a basis for the development of a Training Manual for a training programme that will target 2,160 women leaders.
Objectives of the Baseline Survey
- To identify challenges and constraints faced by poor women in Zimbabwe
- To identify cases which may later be developed into case studies for the project
- To highlight areas for the development of further interventions
- To recommend input for the development of the Training Manual
The results of the baseline study with recommendations for the training manual can be downloaded above.
