The KAS Syria/Iraq office and the prestigious al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, an Iraqi Think Tank affiliated with the National Security Council, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their partnership. To defeat ISIS, there is a need for stable and legitimate governments in Syria and Iraq, says resident representative Nils Wörmer on Especially the war in Syria needs to be stopped. Russia and the US are currently in talks on Syria, but due to the upcoming US elections, time is running out.
