New German Ambassador in Tanzania
On 15th July 2014, President Jakaya Kikwete officially welcomed Egon Kochanke as the new German Ambassador to Tanzania. From 2008 to 2012 Kochanke was Ambassador to Namibia, from 2012 he was in charge of the Department for Sub-Sahara Africa and the Sahel in the German Foreign Office. On 17th July, he introduced himself at the KAS office.
VP opens meeting of religious leaders
In his opening speech, Dr. Bilal highlighted the importance of the meeting for religious peace and tolerance in Tanzania and the region. In a final joint declaration the religious leaders from various African countries demand among others a closer cooperation of religious groups. Read
