Free and Fair Elections - Your Vote Your Choice

On the 13th and 14th of August 2015 CETA and KAS organized a two-day symposium on Free and Fair Elections for secondary, college and university students as well as secondary school teachers. On three weekends in May about 50 women that are active in their parishes as leaders of the catholic women group “Wanawake Wakatoliki wa Tanzania” (WAWATA) came together to learn about leadership in general and the social, political and economic roles and responsibilities of women leaders in specific. During the last state visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tanzania in 2013 he and President Jakaya Kikwete signed 19 contracts worth 6 billion US$. These contracts can be taken as only one of several examples for the growing influence of China in Tanzania.
