Three weeks before the general elections on 3rd July, four well-known politicians and political analysts discussed Thailand's perspectives to re-establish the Kingdom as Southeast Asia's leading democracy. More than 100 high-ranking representatives for politics, government, the judiciary as well as from civil society and the media followed the controversial presentations by the speakers and a lively discussion.

Former Minister Chaturon Chaisang moderated the panel with renowned academician on possible scenarios after the elections in July 2011. The debate focused on chances and challenges for political parties to play a more constructive role in the political landscape.

In continuation of the support to the Thai Parliament in formulating laws on parliamentary administration, a follow-up seminar was organized in cooperation with the SNA. The seminar aimed at introducing the laws, which have already passed the parliament and the implementation procedures.
