Rule of Law in Penal Procedures against Politicians

On the conference co-organised by KAS and the Supreme Court Criminal Division for Persons Holding Political Positions (SCP), the problems and challenges of penal procedures against politicians were discussed. Mr. Sirichai Wattanayothin, Vice President of the Supreme Court, shared viewpoints on Thai cases whereas Dr. Stafan Kaufmann, Member of the German Bundestag, enlightened about the function of case exemption, the roles of media and the public opinions in Germany. more…
