The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Institute of Media Science and Journalism at Masaryk University announce already the 13th Local Journalism Award. Through this, journalistic professionalism and quality is supported and can be guaranteed.

The Local Journalism Award is a yearly award which evaluates journalistic regional media contributions.

This year, the award is under the topic “local politics”. The jury welcomes contributions of the whole genre spectrum of print and radio journalism that address local politically issues.

The award is divided into two categories- Newspaper and radio. Contributions will be accepted until the 10th of September 2015- upon condition that the articles are published between the 1st September 2014 and the 31st August 2015.

Since the evaluation will be implemented by the independent expert jury, the winner can be both a known author and a young journalist in the making. The results will be announced on the Conference of Local Journalism from 6th until 7th November 2015 in Brno.
