The presidential candidates present their vision for the Czech Republic
This is the first public debate where all 11 presidential candidates were invited, organized by Ihned.cz in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Each candidate has seven minutes for his presentation. Then the candidates answer questions from the audience and from social networks. Translation into Englisch will be provided.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Announces the KAS Energy Security Fellowship
The Fellowship is to be hosted at the European Centre for Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS) at King's College London. It will fund a research stay of 12-months for a European Union (EU) resident research fellow starting in September 2012.

Three days after the adoption of the Euro-plus pact and the European stabilisation mechanism (ESM) Czech top-ranking officials, experts and students discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the pact and the ESM for the Czech Republic. Especially the Czech decision not joining the pact yet was the reason for an impulsive debate. Pavel Mertlík, foremost Czech economist, is analysing the position of the Czech Republic for KAS.
The new conception of the Czech European Policy: A change of course?
„Czech Republic needs an active and constructive European Policy,”said Petr Nečas, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, who introduced his agenda at the conference “Pro-Active European Policy – The Key National Interest of the Czech Republic”, organised by the Government of the Czech Republic and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, 14th of January 2011. For this reason, the Government of the Czech Republic is developing a new European Policy approach, defining the priorities in the European Union.
First official meeting of Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer since 1989
The Prime Minister of Bavaria, Horst Seehofer, visited Czech Republic for the first time and laid the foundation for a conciliatory cooperation for the future. In the result, a communique was signed which comprehends especially the consolidation of police cooperation and school collaboration.
