The 9th Regional Journalism Awards of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is announced

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic, the European Parliament Information Office, the weekly “Respekt” and the Department of Media Studies and Journalism of the Masaryk University are seeking for interesting profiles of people from regions, which had been published by regional editorial offices of newspapers or broadcasts.
This year the Regional Journalism Awards is handed out in the categories newspaper and broadcast. You can apply for the contest with profiles, showing interesting stories of known and unknown people, who represent their region's identity. The articles must be published between the first of January and the 15th of September 2011.
One of the First Prizes is a notebook and a professional camera, both worth 20.000 Czech Crowns. Furthermore there is an interesting offer of the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and the European Information Centre for all participating journalists. The results are announced at the conference of Regional Journalism from the 11th till the 12th of November in Brno.
Every author of the contest can apply only for one article. Please send your articles, the name of the author and of the editorial office removed, together with the application form until the 15th of September 2011 to LJP.Prag@kas.de. The application form can be downloaded on the right.
